Ceiling Mount Unit Repair – Fijitsu System

Our team recently responded to a service call for a Fujitsu ceiling mount unit that was leaking water onto the floor in a community room. The building serves residents with disabilities, so getting the issue resolved quickly and correctly was a top priority.

The customer explained that another company had previously diagnosed the issue as a bad condensate pump but never returned to make the repair. When we arrived, we confirmed the diagnosis, ordered the replacement pump, and scheduled the return visit for installation.

Once the new pump was installed, we received a follow-up call the next day—the unit was still leaking water. We went back immediately to investigate and discovered that ice had been forming on the coil. When the system cycled off, the ice would melt, overflowing the drain pan and causing the leaks.

To fix the issue completely, we cleaned the drain pan, which was covered in mold from standing water, flushed the drain lines, and cleaned the evaporator coil to restore proper airflow and drainage. After our cleaning and inspection, the unit operated normally and within manufacturer specifications.
