Rooftop Unit Removal – Valvoline Conversion Project

Location: North Versailles, PA

Our team was called to the former Lucas Oil building in North Versailles, which is being converted into a new Valvoline Instant Oil Change. As part of the renovation process, we were tasked with safely removing the existing rooftop HVAC unit to make way for a new system.

Before the removal, we carefully disconnected all gas and electrical connections to ensure a safe and controlled uninstallation. Once the unit was fully isolated, we coordinated a precision lift to remove it from the roof.

After the system was taken down, we addressed the open roof penetration left behind. To protect the building from weather exposure, we sealed the opening with foam insulation and then securely tarped it. This temporary weatherproofing keeps the interior dry and allows the roofing crew to take over when it’s time for replacement.

By completing the removal, disconnections, and temporary sealing efficiently and safely, our team helped keep the Valvoline project on schedule—demonstrating the care and professionalism that goes into every HVAC job we perform.
